Detailed Itinerary:

First start from your hotel in the morning by 8:00 o’clock and drive to Leshan Grand Buddha. Board the boat to see the Buddha Statue.

Leshan Grand Buddha is located in Leshan City, around 150 km south to Chengdu city. Leshan Grand Buddha is sometimes translated as Leshan Giant Buddha. It is a Metreya Buddha built in Tang Dynasty, about 1200 years ago. The statue is 71-meter’s tall and its head is solely 10-meter’s tall. It is by far the oldest and biggest Seated Buddha statue in the world.

The cruise trip to the front of the statue takes about half an hour. The cruise boat is a small two-deck boat that can accommodate 30-40 people. The port is a few kilometers away from the statue. The boat will stop in front of the statue for about 10 minutes. Spectacle from the boat is considered the best to take photos of the statue. 
After the cruise you will go to Huanglongxi Old Village. The driving takes about 1.5 hours. 

Huanglongxi is an old village, that sometimes it is called Old Town. It is a big village built by a river. It was used as one of the major commercial ports of Chengdu years ago before we had trains or cars. The oldest buildings date back to the end of Qing Dynasty. Huanglongxi Old Village has many interesting shops, local food restaurants and tea houses. It is also a place where local people spend there weekends. 
Your visit to Huanglongxi Old Village is about 2-3 hours.

And after the visit in Huanglongxi, you will be transferred back to Chengdu to be dropped off to your hotel or anywhere in the city that you prefer.

2.The cruise to the Leshan Buddha Statue will involve waiting until the boat is full, this is usually about 10-30 minutes. 
3.Every passenger on the cruise boat is required to wear the orange life jacket while boarding the upper deck.
4.Be aware that during monsoon season (July and August) or heavy foggy season (December and January), the boat cruise may be canceled due to flood.
