Detailed Itinerary:

First start from your hotel in the morning by 8:00 o’clock and drive to Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center. Chengdu Panda Base has in total about 50 pandas. It is the biggest of all panda bases in terms of number. At the panda base, you can see many pandas either eating or sleeping. Pandas are protected wild animals in China. They are called “National Treasure”. Learn the protection and habits of pandas while visiting.

There are also baby pandas kept at this base. There are two nursery enclosures in Chengdu Panda Base. The baby pandas are normally very active compare to their parents. To see baby pandas is one of the highlights of your visit here. There are also Red Pandas in this base. There are some 30 red pandas at Chengdu Panda Base. A visit to the black and white pandas usually include visit to red pandas as well.

After the visit it is lunch time, you will be taken to a Sichuan Food restaurant to have a try of local Sichuan Food! Based on your spicy-taken level, you will be advised on what to order. 
In the afternoon, take a visit to the busy and traditional old street of Jinli to see the interesting stalls and to explore the food quarters. Jinli is usually a very busy place but it is the local style. 

After the visit at Jinli Old Street, go to Renmin Park (People’s Park) to see the other side of Chengdu: laid-back style of living, lots of tea-drinkers and Mahjong players, match-making corner, dancing people, etc. We have many tea houses set up inside the park. Tea house is a big deal for Chengdu people. You will be assisted to order a cup of tea in one of the tea places to see what it is all about.

After this, you will be dropped off to your hotel or anywhere in the city that you prefer.

Travel Tips:

1.A visit to the pandas is usually arranged in the morning because Chengdu is not actually the hometown of the pandas. Their actual home is in the mountains where it is cooler. So if you are visiting in Spring, Summer and Autumn season, do it in the morning is the best choice. If you are traveling in winter time, you can go there in the afternoon too. The temperature pandas like is below 15C.

2.Try to avoid weekend or big holidays in China if you do not like it being too crowded while visiting. 

3.Please remember this is a small group private tour. You can let us arrange for other sites in the city if you want to. We are totally flexible with arrangements.
